Hmmm. Apparently NaBloPoMo pooped me out, blogging-wise, because I'm pretty sure I've only posted once since the end of it.
Darn holidays getting in the way of things. ;o)
Aaaaaaanyway.
New-Year's-Resolution-Which-I'm-Planning-On-Sticking-To-But-I-Guess-We'll-See-If-That-Actually-Happens:
Eat Better! As in, more healthy foods, better use of the food pyramid in meal preparation, etc., etc. I have pretty much the worst diet ever, and even though my body isn't showing it just yet, I'm afraid as I get closer (and closer... yikes!) to 30, it's going to start. So there you have it. I'm also hoping to try to exercise a bit more. Bill and I were talking about getting Dance Dance Revolution 2 for the Wii, because I've tried it and it's a pretty good work-out. The other night, we played Wii tennis, and that got our blood pumping too. Who knew a video game could be so good for you??
Completely unrelated, but WAY more exciting: A trip to Florida may be on the horizon. I've got all kinds of vcacation time, and Bill is working for himself, so now would be the time to do it. The only teensy set-back? We're not rolling in dough. So we're actually talking about driving. To Florida (that's approximately 1500 miles). With two kids. (Yes, we're either brave or stupid... I'm not sure which). This is all up-in-the-air until Bill figures out his work schedule, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Because it's fricking cold here right now, and I think a few days in the warm Florida sun could be just what I need.

Life is a highway
Tomorrow, I'm driving to Rhode Island. From New Hampshire. By myself. In a minivan that sometimes makes funky noises. Yay!
I don't mind telling you that I am not the greatest driver in the world. I mean, I tend to stay out of accidents for the most part (knock on wood), but driving kinda scares the crap out of me. Especially highway driving. And guess what I'm going to be spending almost 3 hours doing tomorrow? Yup, you guessed it: highway driving. If only I was the only one on the road, I would be a pro. Alas, I'm not, and most of the trip will take place in Massachussets, which is notorious for its (and I'm truly sorry to have to say this, all you people from Mass.) bad drivers.
So, wish me luck. Hopefully the faithful soccer-mom van will make it in one piece, and I'll spend a stress-free, rejuvenating weekend in a state that I don't actually like all that much.
